Gonder, John - Research Abstract

Consulting and Presentation Skills

Students do reports and presentations in many classes - typically face to face using traditional non-technological methods. Students in target classes will use online technology for gathering, assembling and presenting, including cccconfer, WIKIs, FTP, and web-based word processing. No hard copy will be used. Students will evaluate their own presentation skiills before the class, then evaluate both their own skills and the class technology and methods afterward. This will be combined with a teacher assessment of operation, skill enhancement, student achievement and thechnology effectiveness. Instructors from non-technology disciplines will be asked to review recorded presentations to provide a non-technological perspective.
